Tatiana Zapata (she, her) is a Legal Fellow at the State Energy & Environmental Impact Center at NYU School of Law. A first-generation college and law school graduate, Tatiana graduated from Georgia State University summa cum laude (2018) with a BA in political science and minor in sociology and earned a JD from St. John’s University School of Law (2023). During law school, Tatiana was a criminal enforcement intern for EPA Region 2 and was the Co-Founder and Vice President of the Environmental Law Society at St. John’s Law. She was a student member of the New York City Bar Association’s Committee on Environmental Law and continues to serve on the committee. She also participated in the 2024 cohort for the New York City Environmental Law Leadership Institute (NYCELLI), an annual seminar for a select group of junior environmental attorneys committed to leadership in the field and making a positive contribution to the City’s environment.
