2025 Symposium

The 11th Annual Environmental Justice and Health Disparities Symposium is a landmark event that brings together community leaders, experts, and activists dedicated to advancing environmental justice and addressing health disparities. Now operating as a grassroots nonprofit CEEJH INC is proud to present this transformative symposium – an immersive, hybrid experience designed to spark dialogue, share innovative solutions, and INpower communities in the face of environmental challenges. This year’s event will take place virtually on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, and in-person (hybrid) from Thursday, September 11th to Saturday, September 13th in Baltimore, MD.

2025 Theme: The People’s Agenda: Resistance, Resilience, and RESToration

This year’s theme captures our commitment to inspiring collective action and fostering community strength. Our agenda is built on the pillars of resistance against systemic inequities, resilience in the face of environmental and health challenges, and the restoration of community well-being and environmental integrity.

  • Cumulative Impact Solidarity Tours: Experience firsthand community-led and managed research and action in areas facing cumulative pollution and policy burdens. Tour South Baltimore to understand how communities are confronting massive coal, municipal, and medical waste transfer and disposal sites, alongside the accompanying ship, truck, and train infrastructure on their fencelines.
  • Cultural Event: Building on the success of last year’s celebration, enjoy a vibrant cultural program featuring artistic performances and creative expressions that honor community resilience and solidarity.
  • Awards Ceremony: Celebrate outstanding contributions in the field of environmental justice at our inaugural awards ceremony, recognizing individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact in their communities.
