My Block Counts Podcast

The My Block Counts Environmental Justice podcast is dedicated to helping people KNOW so they can GROW and help things FLOW within their communities! The podcast takes a deep dive into environmental issues impacting key counties across Maryland and the many considerations and disciplines of public planning of the environment that contribute to health outcomes and the overall well-being of underserved communities.

Episodes will cover air quality issues, climate change and health issues, heat and water issues, Redlining and segregation, and environmental hazards including proximity to LULUs, proximity to hog farms, underground water storage units, incinerators and so much more. Throughout the episodes we see or rather we HEAR our host, Dr Sacoby Wilson have conversations with Guests from different environmental agencies, grassroots groups etc regarding these issues and how we as individuals can contribute to advancing Environmental Justice within our communities.
